- Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta)– a flexible framework for assessing and reporting on the sustainable development benefits of project-based activities.
- Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB) Standards– to identify projects that simultaneously address climate change, support local communities and smallholders, and conserve biodiversity.
- Plastic Waste Reduction Program– to enable robust impact assessment of new or scaled-up waste recovery and recycling projects around the globe.
About the Position
With the rapid growth in carbon markets increasing media attention and scrutiny of the field, Verra is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead the development and expansion of the organization’s marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a skilled marketing strategist who is savvy in the climate and sustainability space and can drive creativity and enthusiasm in others. They will have experience building marketing programs from the ground up, possess exquisite communication and interpersonal skills, and be well-versed with the latest marketing techniques, best practices, and tools.

- 10-15 years of experience in marketing, sales, and brand development.
- BSc/BA in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Experience in sustainability, climate, and/or carbon markets preferred.
- Experience conducting general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitors’ marketing movements.
- Experience building brands and supporting the development of compelling graphic and textual language.
- A thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.) and Google Adwords.
- Experience managing consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- A customer-oriented, team-focused, collaborative approach.

- You actively support Verra’s overarching stakeholder engagement strategy, recommending and producing collateral materials and products to support targeted outreach.
