We are seeking a Director, People Business Partner to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
Develop a deep understanding of assigned business unit, including strategic objectives, and financial performance. Develop and execute people and talent strategies to support strategic objectives.
Drive organizational development initiatives, including change management, culture transformation, and organizational design.
Utilize HR metrics and employee feedback to understand engagement and effectiveness. Partner with leaders and People Team on pragmatic solutions.
Lead programs and decision making on workforce planning, compensation, succession planning and performance management
Apply in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations when needed.
Lead a team of HR Business Partners.
Partner with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and other COEs to deliver talent solutions to your business units.
Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, etc. to leverage their support in executing HR strategy and business operations.
What you bring to Uplight:
8+ years of People Business Partner experience in high growth and fast-paced tech environments
Experience partnering with C Suite leaders
Experience leading distributed teams
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
Experience with change management and organizational design principles and approaches
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent facilitation skills
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: 135,000 - 185,000 USD
