Position Summary**:** The Director of Program Administration will serve as an integral member of the YG Boston Sr. Leadership Team, building on the program’s past successes, and strengthening the team’s capacity to significantly expand the program to reach more youth. The Director of Program Administration, in partnership with the Executive Director, will be responsible for the overall program strategy, direction, oversight and leadership of the program. The Director of Program Administration will also be responsible for local expansion activities and budget management.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Site Leadership
- Serve as a lead member of YG Boston Sr. Leadership Team and cultivate an intentional organizational culture by modeling Youth Guidance’s Core Values and Norms
- Practice inclusive management practices that result in high levels of engagement and belonging
- Attend and actively participate in national and local leadership teams, committees and meetings as part of Youth Guidance’s national program network
Program Planning & Implementation
- Responsible for leading strategic program planning for YG Boston programs and services (short- and long-range plans) and executing key strategic initiatives related to those plans
- Oversee all YG Boston program implementation activities and operations to ensure high-quality and high-impact programming
- Collaborate with the Evaluation and Quality Improvement Department to track and collect data necessary to document the impact of YG Boston programming and lead continuous quality improvement cycles
- Utilizes learnings from continuous quality improvement cycles to inform YG Boston programmatic learning agenda
- Accountable for the development and management of the YG Boston program budget (in partnership with the Executive Director and Director of Development) and ensuring that budget targets are met.
Staff Supervision and Policy and Procedure Development
- Provide inspired and motivating leadership to YG Boston Program staff while providing direct supervision and coaching to Sr. Program Leaders (Program and Partnership Managers, BAM and WOW Curriculum Specialists and Career Pathways Coach)
- In partnership with YG Human Resources team, responsible for the recruitment, selection, onboarding, professional development and performance management of assigned staff and the overall YG Boston program team.
- Develops departmental policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and funder requirements.
External Representation and Partners
- Represents Youth Guidance to the external community by participating in local, state and national levels of leadership to advance the goals of YG Boston.
- Cultivate and manage local and regional partnerships critical to successful high quality program implementation
- Engages YG Boston Advisory Council and key constituencies to cultivate and promote sustainable growth of YG Boston.
- In partnership with the Director of Development, develop a sustainable funding model for the continued expansion of YG Boston to ensure the program’s fundraising priorities and targets are successfully
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Training
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in public/non-profit administration, social work, human services or related area highly preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of program leadership in the social work/human services sector highly
- 3 - 5 years of project or program management and development
- Management experience of a team of at least 10 people in a manner that cultivates and sustains a strong team-oriented culture, with an emphasis on results and
- LCSW, LCPC, or other related credentials highly preferred.
