The Role: We are looking for a Human Resources leader who has the ability to diagnose issues and influence long term solutions and outcomes. You must be able to collaborate across groups, influence all levels of the organization. You should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and engaging on a hands on basis with individuals and teams as well as operating strategically with leadership teams. You will need strong business acumen, executive coaching skills, excellent communications skills, strategic thinking, and planning/project management skills. You must be able to balance competing priorities and conflicting opinions, and facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change. The HR Director owns the relationship with the business and is responsible for brokering all resources required to bring solutions (in partnership with designated HR COE, HR Shared Services and HR Business Partners) to solve business challenges.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement people plans and solutions in order to achieve people initiatives and deliver results for the organization.
- Partner with senior leaders and their leadership teams to develop the talent strategy needed to support our tremendous growth opportunity and build a work environment where employees can thrive and grow.
- Working closely with specialist HR teams, as well as matrixed site HR colleagues, keep the right focus on assessing the HR needs in areas such as performance management, talent acquisition, career development, diversity and compensation/rewards.
- Function as a consultant and counselor to key leaders and their respective organizations; engage in strategic planning meetings to translate business needs into HR plans.
- Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
- Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
- Partner with the business to lead our Organization and Leadership Review, which focuses on succession planning, talent development and organizational health priorities.
- Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.
- Partner with the talent acquisition team to build systemic and scalable recruiting programs to create a sustainable pipeline of talent.
- Must be able to travel domestically, as appropriate.
- Collaborative Services – provided with and through COEs, Shared Services and HR BPs
- Collaborates with HR COEs, Shared Services and HR BPs to use relevant business data to design and guide the implementation of appropriate strategic solutions. Is accountable for facilitating the fulfillment of all business unit strategic HR support.
- Communication: Strong communication skills are a requirement. The HR Director will communicate with all levels of the company. In addition to understanding the needs management expresses, the Director must also be able to convey those needs to other employees. Verbal, nonverbal and written communication skills are all important in this role.
- Project management: Strong project management skills like organization and time management will assist in effectively leading the project toward completion.
- Problem-solving: Ability to address problems such as declining sales, high turnover rates or ineffective business practices, this role will assist in identifying the problem and developing solutions
- Influence: While this role does not have direct reports, strong leadership and influencing skills to motivate others to deliver on and meet the overall objectives of the company.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or Organizational Development, PHR or SPHR is strongly preferred
- 10+ years of HR generalist and/or business partnering experience with emphasis on talent management, people programs, workforce planning and talent development
- Ability to strategically plan and execute programs and projects
- Excellent communication skills, business acumen, and working knowledge of human resources
- Also collaborates with respective functional organizations, (i.e., Finance, Legal, Risk/Compliance, other BU’s, etc.) as required to effectively bring solutions to the needs of the business.
