Wood's Consulting business is currently searching for a Digital Twin / 3DV System Consultant to support our Team in Calgary. The Digital Twin / 3DV Systems Consultant supports Wood's digital asset and digital twin projects. The role supports both our clients and internal team, acting as a technical expert in 3DV toolsets and systems, including AVEVA engineering and design systems (E3D/PDMS) and Hexagon digital twin systems (Hexagon SDx).
The Digital Twin / 3DV Systems Consultant may act as the engagement focal point, supporting our clients and internal team, and acting as the technical expert in information and data management, including 3DV toolsets and digital asset projects.
They are responsible for developing and transitioning key digital asset projects across the asset lifecycle with reference to their systems, workflows, governance and data hierarchy, and as appropriate developing governance, standards, processes and workflows to support this.
Responsibilities:
- Defining requirements to ensure full alignment with our clients when proposing digital, data or 3DV solutions.
- Providing support and guidance to clients with reference to their current and future digital, data and 3DV needs
- Defining scopes for new and / or improved systems, toolsets, processes, and workflows in the digital twin space
- Developing and supporting plans for data improvement and migration, including managing and supporting identified gaps in data quality
- Evaluating digital twin project(s) across their lifecycle to ensure delivery against business and client expectations and all applicable OKRs / KPIs
- Assessing technologies and vendors and providing proof of concepts
- Contributing to commercial bids, tenders and quotations
- Interfacing with potential clients to define and win new scopes of work.
- Interfacing with existing clients to develop new business opportunities, improvement and growth.
- Establishing Digital Operations as the provider of choice within Wood for digital twin scopes
- Contribute thought leadership on digital twin delivery and 3DV Systems.
Skills / Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical discipline with an engineering background
- Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering digital solutions in Energy Sector or related field industries
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering analytics/predictive analytics solutions and/or digital twins
- Strong experience in stakeholder management including the management of challenging interfaces and developing strong customer relationships.
- Experience of implementing successful project performance improvement activities and techniques for recovering poor performance
- Deep knowledge of solution and data architecture, data processing, analytics and IoT systems, with strong capabilities across a range of technologies
- Demonstrable track record in delivering complex digital twin (physical) projects. This should include creation, testing, deploying and scaling digital twin solutions in the operations environment.
- Strong communication skills and the capability to communicate and work well with the leadership team, the business, as well as with specialists from related fields, including project managers, database developers, software engineers and data scientists.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, or authorized to work lawfully in Canada, without sponsorship from Wood.
