Digital Learning Projects Manager
Are you our next Digital Learning Projects Manager, someone who can support the design and delivery of impactful online training and leadership development experiences?
Common Purpose is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1989 that develops leaders who can cross boundaries. This enables them to solve complex problems both in organizations and in cities. We deliver face-to-face and online leadership courses for multiple generations of leaders: from students in universities to senior leaders in organizations and society, supporting them to develop the knowledge, skills and inspiration to cross boundaries and become more active and engaged citizens.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Bangalore, India.
The role
We are looking for someone who has a real passion for learning and learning design to support our Digital Learning Experience Designer to develop and update our range of online and blended courses and modules for multiple audiences (nationally and globally, across different generations and sectors).
You will be responsible for applying your digital learning skills to our online courses. You will be able to confidently use e-learning creation tools at both the front and back ends (in particular, Moodle), designing and inputting content based on specific briefs and administering courses.
As our Digital Learning Projects Manager you will:
- Work with the Digital Learning Experience Designer to further refine our asynchronous course development roadmap (for blended and pure asynchronous learning programmes)
- Assist the Digital Learning Experience Designer and our Content Producer across all phases of product/course development – from stakeholder communication and needs analysis activity through to designing content and BETA testing
- Take a leading role in customizing existing off-the-shelf courses for client briefs
- Lead in the development of a reference library for all learning content, organizing and tagging content to speed up future programme design processes
- Curate and design visual assets using Adobe Suite software such as Illustrator (e.g. title cards, images, thumbnails, infographics)
- Review video content and create editing specifications for our Content Producer
- Carry out some small video editing tasks (e.g. clipping tracks, adding subtitles, formatting)
- Research and curate (shortlist) external content to aid course design and development phases
- Research software, apps and plug ins that will enhance the asynchronous learning solutions we are able to offer
- Advise and provide guidance on improvements to programmes based on experience and user feedback
- Develop a portfolio of enablement content to aid pre-sales processes e.g. one-pager programme descriptors, taster versions of existing courses
- Assist the delivery team in administering asynchronous modules and programmes e.g. creating the LMS domain, enrolling participants, course release.
You will bring the following experience with you:
- Significant experience of building and administering online learning courses (both infrastructure and content) using Moodle
- A working knowledge of creative online learning courses and assets
- A strong understanding of Common Purpose programmes and methodology
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks, including co-ordinating with subject matter experts across multiple projects
- Sound analytical skills
- Good time management and self-organization skills
- Highly accurate with good attention to detail
- Creative and innovative
- Excellent written English, oral communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative team-player, while also able to work well independently
- Knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite would be advantageous
