We are looking for a dynamic communicator for this entry-level role who is comfortable working with corporate partners, project managing social media campaigns and websites, and telling powerful stories across multimedia platforms to share the impact of Ashoka partnerships.
We’re prioritizing candidates who have a history of changemaking and leadership at any stage of their life, especially as a young person. Ashoka looks for passionate candidates interested in making a social impact on pressing issues at large scale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Main Responsibility Areas:
- Partnership Digital Content
- Support communications managers to delivery on strategy and content creation for communications Ashoka Changemakers partnerships, online challenges and online courses.
- Manage graphic designers and the development of visual assets for partnerships to co-create a strong, unique visual branding.
- Create visual content as needed to accompany social media campaigns, including graphics and video.
- Manage digital content plans for partnerships on digital platforms, including our social media, website, and newsletter.
- Lead ad buy strategies to maximize audience engagement with content.
- Monitor and track social media and website analytics and make recommendations on improving social media content performance.
- Provide event communications support (signage, live coverage, etc.) as needed at partnership events.
- Support with updates to our Challenge platform and website as needed.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess most of the following skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree with up to two years of professional experience in communications and social media strategy.
- Demonstrated experience building successful social media campaigns.
- A strong background in design and multimedia content creation.
- Excellent writing and content creation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in nonprofit communications is a plus.
- Experience in collaborating across teams, working remotely, across different geographies and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and innovate effectively in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
- Strong intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated commitment to social change.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for graphic and video creation.
- Fluency in English is required. Any other language is an asset.
