Description

As a Development Engineer – Conversion, Modification & Upgrades (m/f/d) you are responsible to lead & drive technical projects in collaboration with other departments with focus on the design and validation of products for the after sales market. CM&U stands for “conversion, modification and upgrades” for all Jenbacher platforms including mechanical and electrical components as well as relevant changes to our software.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead & drive CM&U projects proposed and prioritized by the Service Product Line Management from kick-off to validation including coordination with all internal and external stakeholders
  • In close collaboration with Service Business Development and Engineering design/redesign complete assemblies and develop technical documentations and BOMs (=Bill of Material)
  • Proactively manage the project deck including timelines, milestones and report out to the management
  • Act as a single point of contact for Service Business Development regarding all technical questions
  • Drive and support innovation and continuous improvement based on customer needs, new technical achievements and profound analyses of current products and product portfolio
  • Highlight show stoppers technical or organizational wise – include lessons learned of other projects in running & future projects
  • Responsible for keeping all OEM (=Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards, quality and EHS policies and guidelines from design to release
  • Develop and maintain adequate reporting tools and coordinate the creation and update of relevant documents
  • Support business development with creating technical documentation for distribution

Your Profile:

  • Master/ Bachelor Degree in Engineering or higher technical/engineering college (e.g. HTL)
  • Substantial experience in engine/product development; Service experience in the gas engines sector preferred
  • Profound knowledge of reciprocating engines and their systems
  • Knowledge of quality systems and project management methodologies
  • Experience or state-of-the-art knowledge in product concept development and data analysis techniques
  • Flexible mindset and ability to work on multiple technical projects and topics simultaneously
  • History on Jenbacher gas engines & processes preferably given
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluency in German and English

The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 4.112,78 gross per month (x 14) and an over payment depending on your qualifications and experience.
