Do you want a career that will give you the opportunity to work in the leadership development space? One where you will have the opportunity to create a wider impact in society, alongside your focus on delivering to sales and business development targets that purposefully contribute to our participant experience in our leadership development programmes.
Could you be our next Development Director in Northern Ireland? We now have a vacancy as our current director, Vicky Moore, is moving to a new role within Common Purpose.
Common Purpose is a global not-for-profit devoted to good leadership. One working to develop leaders who can cross cultural, institutional, and social boundaries. We deliver in-person, online and blended leadership programmes for multiple generations of leaders: from young people on our Legacy programmes to senior leaders in organizations and society, supporting them to develop the knowledge, skills and inspiration to cross boundaries and become better leaders and more active and engaged citizens. We have been delivering high quality leadership development experiences in Northern Ireland for over 30 years and each year over 9,000 people take part in our global programmes, in over 100 cities worldwide.
We are an organization founded on strong social purpose and we live this continuously through our work. An important part of our values is to support diverse talent and as part of that our commitment to ensuring that people from under-represented backgrounds have places on our programmes.
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious professional - who shares our values and who is passionate about leadership. You'll be working in the UK sales team, engaging with current and new customers.
The role
Your role will predominantly focus on purposeful sales and business development in Northern Ireland but with opportunities to be involved in wider UK development initiatives.
You will be responsible for delivering to an annual income target and for maintaining and growing our well-established partner relationships in Northern Ireland as well as developing new relationships. Some of these will be self-generated and some through referrals by our alumni network and existing customers.
You will need to be able to operate at a senior level and be an ambassador for Common Purpose across a wide range of networks and sectors in Northern Ireland. You will also have a strong understanding of the local context and be able to work alongside senior leaders.
This is a full-time permanent role, but we are willing to consider part-time employment for a suitable candidate. It is home-based and the successful candidate will be expected to have a full schedule of in-person meetings, particularly in Belfast.
