Fòs Feminista is an intersectional feminist organization centered around the sexual and reproductive rights and needs of women, girls, and gender-diverse people. Led and governed by the Global South, Fòs Feminista works as an alliance of organizations in 40+ countries worldwide to advance sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice. As the connecting fabric of this Alliance, Fòs Feminista orchestrates transnational and transregional action, amplifies partners’ work, and promotes South-South learning and collaboration toward achieving common objectives.

Together with our partners, we provide access to sexual and reproductive health care, including contraception, abortion, and care for victims of gender-based violence. We also reach young people with comprehensive sexuality education. We recognize that the ability of women, girls, and gender-diverse people to make free and informed choices about sexual and reproductive lives, including to access safe and legal abortion, is central to their life plans and to achieving gender and reproductive justice. As such, we are at the forefront of advocating for sexual and reproductive health and rights from an intersectional lens in national, regional, and global spaces, coordinating with our partners to ensure that diverse experiences, priorities, and voices of the Global South are represented in these spaces.

Position Summary

The Development Coordinator will provide organizational and administrative support to the Individual and Planned Gifts unit.

Supervisory Relationship

The Development Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Individual Gifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Support direct mail and mid-level donor relations efforts as needed, such as responding to donor inquiries and providing a high level of donor stewardship.
• Proactively manage donor and prospect information in departmental CRM (Salesforce) database.
• Ensure data integrity through accurate data entry and supporting the Gift Processing Operations Manager with gift processing as needed.
• Pull donor and performance reports for the Associate Director of Individual Gifts and other members of the Resources Mobilization and Digital Communications team as needed.
• Initiate improvements in donor stewardship and acknowledgment process for direct mail donors, ensuring the onboarding process for new donors is a welcoming experience.
• Send thank you and stewardship note cards to Mid-Level and high dollar donors.
• Provide support to the Annual State Registration and Charitable Gift Annuity filing process.
• Monitor communication with planned givers and estate representatives. Includes checking Gift Plan email account and overseeing Queue Bequests Charitable phone line. Communicate with planned givers as needed via email, phone, and handwritten card.
• Update estate report spreadsheet with all Planned Giving related items, and work with other members of the Resources Mobilization and Digital Communications team to oversee MarketSmart microsite. Ensure that people interested in the planned giving program are responded to promptly.
• Ensure acknowledgements for incoming planned gifts are promptly sent out to the appropriate people.
• Coordinate with Wells Fargo team regarding CGAs. Make sure CGAs are accounted for.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant work experience in related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and donor databases like Salesforce.
• Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail and accuracy: deadlines are met, and work product is thorough, complete, and polished.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, along with maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
• Ability to juggle priorities flexibly, effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.

Location: The location of this position is remote and flexible, preferably in the Global South (Latin America & the Caribbean or Africa).

Fòs Feminista offers generous compensation consistent with competitive salaries and a benefits package that includes health coverage, life insurance, retirement benefits, and paid sick leave, vacation, and holidays. The proposed salary is as follows:

• US: USD $61,000
• LAC Region: USD $20,000
• AFR Region: USD $22,100
