The Job

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, testing, and maintaining the tools that allow for the speedy development and release of the software. You also build, configure and monitor the infrastructure that is needed by the software to run.

Responsibilities:

• You make sure the infrastructure you develop is secure and safe with regards to information security & personal data.

• You document your work and make sure that your documentation is clear and understandable for future use by others.

• You build, configure and maintain the infrastructure needed by the Triggerise software to run. You automate the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of the infrastructure

• You set up, test, and maintain the infrastructure of tools that we use to support our software development and launch. You are responsible for optimizing the flow of work from build to release.

• Our team works in an agile way and you will be part of the rituals and practices.

• You are actively involved in cross-team projects that involve development.

About you

You have in-depth experience as a DevOps Engineer. You’re a logical thinker and a natural problem solver who wants to use your technical skillset to make an impact.

Requirements:

• You hold a minimum of 4 years of experience working in a DevOps/SRE role
• Previous experience with Kubernetes container orchestration (using K8s within the AWS ecosystem)
• Solid background in AWS tools (including RDS, EC2, SQS), as well as terraform
• Below are some other technologies we use at Triggerise: Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, and Github Actions (experience in these technologies will be an advantage)
• You are fluent in English (both speaking & writing)

The rewards

At Triggerise we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The monthly salary bracket for this position is €2,541 - €3,812 gross in Portugal, R56,385 - R84,578 gross in South Africa, Ksh269,378 - Ksh404,067 gross in Kenya, plus benefits and allowances. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
