Design Executive
Are you our next Design Executive, someone who can work closely with our sales and business units to produce high-quality marketing materials?
Common Purpose is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1989 that develops leaders who can cross boundaries. This enables them to solve complex problems both in organizations and in cities. We deliver in-person and online leadership programmes for multiple generations of leaders, from students in universities to senior leaders in organizations and society, supporting them to develop the knowledge, skills and inspiration to cross boundaries and become more active and engaged citizens.
The role
We are currently looking for a dynamic and ambitious Design Executive to join our team, based in Bangalore, India (we may consider applicants based elsewhere in India). Working within our central Brand, Communications and Product Team and reporting to our Brand Manager, you will be helping us apply our brand guidelines and visual identity to produce high quality marketing and sales materials.
As our Design Executive, you will:
- Act as a champion of brand standards and guidelines, maintaining our suite of branded templates and promoting the brand throughout the organization
- Work closely with members of our sales and delivery teams to produce effective marketing materials (including formatting, proofreading and quality control), creating bespoke materials when required
- Partner with colleagues to develop design business concepts, diagrams, slides and other marketing resources within the company’s branding guidelines
- Analyse and resolve any branding issues in partnership with the Brand Manager
- Develop and design sales assets which could include master templates, charts, graphs, infographics, icons, animations, factsheets, product brochures, and reports
- Gather insights to continually improve the implementation of our brand and visual identity, including conducting high-level research for brand tracking
- Own and maintain internal marketing libraries (eg images, icons, illustrations, logos)
- Find new ways of creating user-friendly materials
What you will bring to the role:
- Detailed knowledge and experience of using Canva (preferably Canva Pro), Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator/ InDesign and MS Office
- A good eye for design, exceptional attention to detail and consistency
- Excellent written English, oral communication, and interpersonal skills – ideally a people person (preferably with some experience in a customer-facing role) who is comfortable running sessions with teams
- The ability to easily understand, communicate and liaise with colleagues on a creative brief/ project, and effectively understand and implement their requirements
- The ability to manage, prioritize and take ownership of multiple projects and ensure they are delivered on time, to a high professional standard
- A proven ability to maintain momentum of work when subject to a variety of pace, volume and complexity

- A competitive salary of between 9 – 9.5 lakhs per annum dependent on experience along with EPF benefits.
