Overview of the Position

Social Solutions seeks a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for the anticipated USAID Private Sector Engagement Modernization Institutional Support Contract (PSEMC).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The DCOP/Recruitment Lead will be responsible for leading the strategic recruitment efforts of the Activity’s talent acquisition efforts, including – but not limited to – retention, and establishing strategies. The DCOP will implement strategies to develop a pipeline of qualified candidates in advance of need using a variety of approaches, including research on job boards and other recruitment platforms. The DCOP is expected to participate in projects that enhance the recruitment and staffing experience, and work with hiring managers and key stakeholders to understand unique talent needs. Leverage recruiting data to proactively provide status updates and hiring results to leadership and HR partners, source qualified candidates, leverage search engines, career sites, recruiting events, and other innovative sourcing techniques to identify qualified candidates, utilizing innovative techniques to attract and recruit diverse talent.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in progressive staff and program management, including overseeing operations, staffing, contracts, procurement, finance, and other aspects of development, specifically for USAID
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Prior experience as Recruitment Lead is required
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in corporate recruiting; full life cycle, research, sourcing, screening, interview facilitation, and offer negotiation
  • Minimum of 1+ year experience working with multiple hiring managers
  • English language fluent proficiency, written and spoken
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best-in-class recruitment strategies including commitment and understanding of DEI practices
  • Experience recruiting and successfully managing consultants, and ensuring the quality of their products
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and recruitments
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and ability to obtain Secret and/or Facility Clearance is required

Preferred Experience and background

  • Familiarity with Private Sector Engagement (PSE) in an international development context
  • Successful track record recruiting for large, multi-faceted USG contracts, specifically for USAID
