What You’ll Be Doing
Nathan, a Cadmus Company, is actively seeking a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for the 5 year $24 million USAID-funded Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership (DCCP) – Pacific Project, to provide support to the governments of the Pacific Island countries to improve the quality and reach of digital communications and connectivity. The DCOP will assist the Chief of Party (COP) in the management of the various technical components of the activity and will be responsible for the overall administrative and operational aspects of the project.
Position Summary & Key Responsibilities:
The DCOP will be responsible for directly supporting the COP in the operation management and implementation of program activities, including oversight of staff, advisors, and short-term experts. The DCOP will bear significant responsibility for coordinating with counterparts in the Mission to ensure DCCP is delivering on USAID’s technical, communications, and reporting expectations. In addition, the DCOP will be responsible for design and management of work plan activities, consultant scopes of work, and other technical deliverables; reporting efforts related to these activities (including inputs for annual work plans); and reporting on performance targets and results as defined in the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) plan.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The DCOP will provide direct oversight of multiple objective leads and relevant subject matter experts and supervise the work of relevant technical staff.
Location and Reporting:
This position will be based full-time in Suva, Fiji. Remote work is not an available option. It is anticipated that travel around the region will be required. The DCOP will report to the Chief of Party.

For employees working outside of the United States, compensation and benefits will vary based on the project and the location.
