Our ambition is to lead the industry and accelerate the roadmap towards carbon neutrality with regards to the delivery of our products to our customers. To achieve this, we will mobilize our own transport resources and the entire ecosystem of suppliers in line with our Scope 3 target and First Movers Coalition pledge.
- Take ownership of the global decarbonization strategy with regards to transport emissions, drive the design and development of projects, focusing on creating the highest business impact
- Development and implementation support of global strategies / technologies for our transport decarbonisation, with a focus on green vehicles particularly
- Focus on emission reduction linked to vehicle technology (gas, electric, hydrogen), in order to reach our decarbonisation targets
- In cooperation with the Head of Decarbonisation, establish global KPI’s and measurements to evaluate and track our decarbonisation efforts on transportation, feeding into our Group targets
- Internal stakeholder management: engage, communicate and align with local country teams (CEOs, Industrial leaders) as well as Cement Excellence Performance, the Global Innovation Center, Global and Regional Sustainability / Decarbonisation teams and other functions (Logistics, Group Digital, IT…); facilitate global exchange of best practices and sharing of success stories to accelerate decarbonisation globally
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and environmental policies
- Evaluate partnerships for technologies and along the value chain regarding aforementioned decarbonisation themes
Education/Qualifications
- (Truck) Automotive Engineering degree
- Business / General Management certificate
Experience
- 6+ years of industrial / engineering / management expertise with focus on Green Vehicles and Transport Decarbonisation
- Expertise in key industries / sectors such as Truck Manufacturing, Heavy Duty Vehicles for Mining and Construction
- Relevant senior leadership experience in an international and complex environment with successful track record
- Evidence of strong business and strategic acumen
- Proven track record of implementing strategic innovations and new technologies
Knowledge & Skills
- Green vehicles, Decarbonisation, engineering / industrial knowledge
- Technology and competitive intelligence regarding above mentioned decarbonization themes
- Knowledge and familiarity of SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) or equivalent framework
- Project management and change management
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills on various hierarchical levels, good at networking and building solid business relationships quickly
- Innovative, out of the box thinking
- Result oriented
- Passionate about sustainability
Language Requirements
Excellent English, written and spoken. German skills desirable. Any other language is a plus.
