Database global consultant

This consultancy will support the rollout of ActivityInfo as IREX’s data management solution for its programs across the organization. There are currently at least two programs in addition to Youth Excel that require external support to develop their database and migrate data. We anticipate increasing demand for support over time.

Support the design and development of ActivityInfo databases to meet program Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) needs:

• Work closely with program teams, and program MEL points of contact, to identify data management, storage, and reporting needs that can be met with ActivityInfo.
• Collaborate with program teams in drafting and finalizing plans for developing a database, migrating data, and creating reports in ActivityInfo.
• Support the development of the database and the implementation of the plan in close collaboration with the program team
• Support the development of templates, guides, and other learning resources for ActivityInfo users
• Provide recommendations for the maintenance and ongoing improvement of databases, management of users and user permissions, and security of data
• Participate in virtual demonstrations or trainings on or about ActivityInfo
• Support the Youth Excel program’s data management, analytics and reporting processes as necessary
• Support the Youth Excel program’s Collaboration, Learning and Adaptation activities
• Support the Youth Excel program’s Midterm Evaluation

1. Database needs assessments and development plans
2. ActivityInfo templates, guides, and other learning resources
3. Data management and analytics reports for Youth Excel’s routine monitoring and assessments data
4. Indicator tracking reports for Youth Excel’s annual reports
5. Data summary reports for Youth Excel’s qualitative datasets
