Accion’s Resource Development department has a solid track record of creative partnerships, strategic fundraising and proven results. We work across a broad base of corporate and private foundation partners including Mastercard, Credit Suisse, FMO, Bill and Melinda Gates, MetLife, and Citi Foundations. In addition, we work with individual impact investors, philanthropic donors and the public sector to carry out our important and increasingly urgent mission. Building on the existing strong base of supporters and partners, we aim to further expand the team and amplify our strategic partnership priorities.
Position Summary
The Salesforce Database Manager reports to the Vice President of Fundraising Strategy, Planning and Insights and will lead the ongoing development of our Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) deployment. This role is an opportunity for a mission-driven individual with at least three years’ experience as a database/CRM manager in a non-profit fundraising environment, with at least one year as a Salesforce administrator. The Database Manager will streamline existing processes and harness data insights to make data-driven decisions that increase the organization’s fundraising efficiency and support from individuals and institutions alike.
In this role, you will work closely with the Resource Development team to maintain the information and reporting systems in the Salesforce database. You will coordinate with vendors regarding gift processing, website integration, cryptocurrency donations, corporate matching gifts, and donor-advised fund contributions. You will provide essential support for dashboard buildout, data insights, monthly/quarterly reconciliations, and documentation of procedures and other projects as needed. This position is essential to the daily functioning of the department, for campaign and results analyses, and strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving processes and adoption using the Salesforce platform. You are a systems thinker and enjoy learning about technology and how it can drive organizational impact. You naturally take ownership, can navigate unfamiliar settings, and enjoy both building and managing data systems.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
Prior experience with global NGO and/or private sector organization in social impact space
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a database manager, with at least 1+ years as a Salesforce administrator, ideally using NPSP in a fundraising environment
Salesforce Administrator certification preferred
Deep comfort and fluency with other systems such as SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while working with key internal stakeholders across Resource Development and the organization
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
