The Organization:
The Florence Project was founded in 1989 to respond to a representation crisis for indigent non-citizens detained at the rural Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Detention Center in Florence, Arizona. Through our programs today, we provide services to thousands of adults, youth, and children detained in Eloy, Florence, Phoenix, and Tucson, Arizona on any given day. In 2001, the Florence Project implemented our Integrated Social Services Program, one of the first of its kind in this field. The Florence Project provides high quality legal and social services and supports initiatives for national changes in immigration law and policy.
Primary Purpose of the Job:
The Data Services Coordinator is managed by the Deputy Director, works closely with the Operations Managers and Program Managers to ensure FIRRP’s infrastructure and systems function effectively and efficiently. In so doing, this position provides remote and in-person support to all FIRRP staff and volunteers across all our offices. In addition to day-to-day information technology troubleshooting and maintenance, the Data Services Coordinator will optimize our Legal Server database to ensure information is captured and analyzed in a useful way. This position will see a big picture view of the organization and how the database interacts with all departments and programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Evaluate current LegalServer configuration and ensure organization is maximizing capacity.
Research and recommend system enhancements, modules, and features, in consultation with appropriate internal users
Strong understanding of data and statistics to show errors and discrepancies, and ability to troubleshoot solutions.
Manage relationship with technology support vendors such as XLCON and Cox ALT.
Update and manage LegalServer configuration to improve data collection and reporting, ensuring all programmatic and funding requirements are met.
Create policies and/or protocols for data entry and system use across multiple projects.
Develop regular reporting tools to assist internal users with program monitoring and evaluation.
Provide technical support, integration, training, and assistance to internal users on Microsoft Office 365, Adobe, and Legal Server.
Create structure and organization within FIRRP servers.
Maintain high level of confidentiality & security with internal data and sensitive information.
Collaborate with senior management, program leaders, and development team to optimize Databases to accurately report and tell the story of FIRRP’s impact.
Communicate with LegalServer developers to solve problems, prioritize issue management, and support national LegalServer development and enhancement efforts.

Minimum Requirements:
Proven track record in maintaining discretion with confidential information - Must be able to handle highly confidential situations with professionalism and tact.
Eagerness to work alongside, build relationships with, and learn from, a diverse population of colleagues and clients.
Advanced in-person, remote, and telephonic IT customer support skills; commitment to creating a welcoming and professional environment.
Experience with administering—or willingness to learn—a huge variety of platforms: Microsoft server, SQL server, Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe products, VOIP, ISPs, miscellaneous databases, malware mitigation tools, copying/scanning technologies, etc.
Must be able to efficiently manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work calmly under stress and be flexible when the job’s demands change.
Outstanding customer service and resolution capability.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated commitment to advocating for indigent immigrant clients in a respectful and empowering way, zealous support of the Florence Project’s mission, and displays a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Travel is required for this position.
Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation.

Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time position. Salary is competitive for our field and geographical area and is commensurate with experience: $49,000-$58,000 Annually. We strive to create and uphold a positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment for all staff.
