Job Summary
Textile Exchange is seeking a Data Reporting Analyst to support the development and execution of our data reporting program. The successful candidate will have data analytics skills but also a good understanding of textile and sustainability topics to support the program by researching the data landscape, developing and maintaining data standards and collection methodologies, and collecting, processing, reporting, and analyzing datasets. The role involves close collaboration with the Data Team to enhance system integration and performance and to align our data processes with organizational strategy and governance protocols. We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in managing data, data workflows, and systems. The ideal candidate will also be adept at translating requirements into effective data solutions and will have a proactive approach to improving data utility across departments, supporting our mission towards sustainable practices in the textile industry.
The Data Reporting Analyst, is part of the Data Team and reports to the Data Reporting Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the Data Team to:
Support the overall development and successful delivery of the data reporting program.
Research and monitor the data reporting landscape to support the positioning of the data reporting program, including mapping datasets and frameworks.
Develop, update, and maintain data standards (i.e. definitions, classifications, taxonomies), methodologies, and guidance.
Develop, update, and release data collection surveys, ensuring they are mapped and aligned with industry content and organization strategy.
Conduct data collection activities and monitor the process to ensure timely and accurate collection of data.
Review and validate data quality, resolve inconsistencies, and take corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Analyze and consolidate data for reporting and support any internal or external queries on reported data.
Gather requirements and feedback, translate them into system requirements, help manage the development, and test functionalities to ensure/improve system performance and usability.
Document data processes, model data flows, and identify areas of adjustments.
Administer the data reporting system and ensure a smooth integration with Salesforce CRM.
Ensure that data reporting processes and systems conform to data governance protocols.
Work with other teams to better integrate data into organizational systems.
Support the research and reporting of business functions and work closely with other departments.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in data, sustainability, or textiles-related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability and/or in textile, involving data reporting, and analytics.
Industry knowledge, strong understanding of the apparel and textile industry.
Sustainability knowledge, including fiber and material content expertise.
Hands-on experience in data collection, validation, and reporting processes.
Methodical with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in managing data, data workflows, and systems.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work in very dynamic work environment with a positive mindset and to quickly adapt to changes, embracing challenging tasks as learning opportunities.
Experience working collaboratively in global cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of managing and executing data projects from inception to completion (preferred).
Employment Package
Reports to: Data Reporting Manager
Full Time Position, 40 Hours a Week
Location: Virtual/Remote
Annual Salary Range: 46,000 - 58,000 USD
To be filled as soon as possible (start date to be agreed between both parties).
Our offers for salary and benefits are dependent on the region of the final candidate. We post most positions based on a US-based Team member, but final offers are made in alignment with the final candidate's permanent residence and in line with Textile Exchange's regional employment package.
