Data Migration Assistant – Dynamics 365

Data Migration Assistant – Dynamics 365
(International Office Asia)

Mission
Guarantee correct and effective data migration into Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance and Operations for Member Associations (MA) in Regions - ASIA, ESAF and WCNA.

Location: International Office Region-Asia, Faridabad, India

Duration: Till December 2024

Tasks and Responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities
• Assure quality and on-time migration of:
o MA balances from transition projects to standard projects
o MA actual accounting data from NAV to D365

Data mapping
• Identify the data fields in the legacy system and map them to the corresponding fields in the new system through Excel. We must ensure the data is adequately transformed and formatted for the new system.
• This process involves matching and aligning the data fields to ensure accurate transfer.

Data cleansing and Validation
• Responsible for cleansing the data to remove duplicates, incomplete data, or inconsistencies.
• Responsible for extracting the data from the source system, applying any necessary transformations or formatting, and preparing it for loading into the target system. This may involve data conversion, standardisation, or normalisation.
• Conduct thorough testing to verify the accuracy and integrity of the migrated data. This includes comparing the source and target data sets to ensure consistency and identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Also need to verify the accuracy and completeness of the migrated data by running validation tests and comparing the data with the original data.
• Also need to perform data normalisation to ensure that the data is consistent across all systems.

Documentation
• Maintains detailed documentation of the migration process, including the migration plan, data mappings, transformation rules, test results, and any issues encountered during the migration.

Post-Migration Support
• After the data migration is complete, will assist in the post-migration activities, including data validation, troubleshooting any data-related issues, and providing support to end-users.

Requirements

Key Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor of Commerce degree
• Three years’ experience in the similar job profile
• Proficient in MS Office, especially in Microsoft Advance Excel, well equipped with Excel formulas like V-lookup
• Experience of working in any Finance Application, Data Cleaning and Data Migration.
• Experience with an international NGO with a global scope/development will be preferred.
