Role purpose:
LRQA is seeking a Data Manager to join our Advisory team in Hong Kong or Singapore and accelerate the development and growth of our grievance mechanism solutions and products. The Data Manager will be part of LRQA Advisory APAC team, playing a key role in ensuring effective management and analysis of customer supply chain data, and integration with the company’s data platforms. In this role, the Data Manager will work in a rapidly growing and successful business at the cutting edge of worker-centric data and risk analysis, and to partner with world-class leaders to take on some of the planet’s most pressing ESG challenges.
Our human rights solutions are products/services that often require engagement with a variety of users and stakeholders, ranging from migrant workers to factory management to major global companies and civil society actors. They require an understanding of both human/user and technology needs. They cover numerous industries and geographies. Internal stakeholders may include software engineers, sales/marketing professionals, human rights consultants, and executive leaders. This role lies at the intersection of product and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of supply chain data related to grievance mechanisms / worker helplines globally;
Engage with external users and internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and relevance, and meet reporting expectations;
Design new reporting templates and dynamic visualizations to enable customers to identify strategic risk trends and comply with emerging grievance mechanism reporting and disclosure obligations;
In partnership with the Developer/IT Specialist, manage and continuously improve back-end CMS/CRM content, workflows and data collection to enhance data reporting;
Manage and continuously improve helpline system reporting, utilizing data analysis tools such as Tableau, PowerBI in alignment with client requirements / strategy and LRQA’s approach;
Engage internal stakeholders to maintain alignment and to execute on shared plans to define, develop, and scale grievance mechanism solutions globally;
Oversee the integration of grievance datasets into LRQA’s EiQ intelligence platform, and manage the technical product roadmap and feature development;
Prepare reports and presentations for customers and company senior leadership based on data analysis to support thought leadership and external communication related to our work;
Uphold standards of LRQA platforms and systems, including project management systems, business development systems, and manage a growing team of junior data analysts.
Key health & safety responsibilities:
Eliminate or minimise employee exposure to risks by regularly reviewing the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessments, and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LRQA activities.
Manage your own, and your team’s, compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements to ensure employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:
4-7+ years of relevant experience
Product management experience required
Experience managing products that feature case management and/or data visualization
Experience with data science and data engineering skills, including familiarity with or ability to quickly master Zendesk, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools, JSON, and Python and Product management tools including Jira
Experience with labor or human rights issues in supply chains preferred
Experience with grievance mechanisms or worker engagement preferred
Fluent in written and spoken English
Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Capacity to work across different time zones and to hold meetings outside of regular local working hours
