Water for Good is seeking an organized, detail- and deadline-driven individual to manage our donor data and research. This position is responsible for the management of donor databases and research, as well as the development of systems and implementation for data structure, retrieval, report customization and analysis, donor research structure and templates, policies and procedures, security and quality control.
Water for Good is a US 501(c)(3) faith-based international development nonprofit with a global staff of approximately 100 people. We provide ongoing clean water services to over 850,000 people annually in the Central African Republic, with an annual budget of around $6.5 million USD. Brief Position Summary: This position is responsible for the management of donor databases and research, as well as the development of systems and implementation for data structure, retrieval, report customization and analysis, donor research structure & templates, policies & procedures, security and quality control.
List of Responsibilities and Duties:
Database Management: Implement and manage a comprehensive fundraising database system, gift acknowledgement process and data integrity procedure.
- Manage key fundraising databases (Salesforce, Funraise and Pardot), including contract management, new features and process integration
- Responsible for data structure and integrity
- Ensure best practices in data management
- Assigning and managing user rights
- Provide proper training for new and existing users
- Supervise the gift acknowledgement process
- Work with the Development Specialist to ensure donor acknowledgement letters and tax gift receipts are sent out accurately and timely
- Verify that the process meets non-profit tax substantiation requirements
- Oversee all data retrieval efforts, including report customization and analysis
- Set the policies, procedures, quality control processes and security of all donor data
- Support the integration of data usage across the organization, including the deployment of Tableau for data visualization
- Provide dashboards and tools to help track individual and team progress toward annual development goals
Prospect Research: Design and implement prospect research procedures to support major giving
- Design and plan prospect management research procedures & templates
- Research donors and potential funding opportunities, which may include donor screenings, ratings and review
- Manage regular wealth screening activities (Donor Search, RFI, etc.)
- Support the development team in major gifts, grants & faith giving prospect research, updating profiles as needed, and conducting new research following industry best practices
Other:
- Assist with website updates, as needed
- Assist with the execution of donor surveys
- Manage the Development Specialist
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
Required:

Bachelor’s or associate's degree

3-5+ years of working experience

- Experience working in Salesforce, nonprofit experience preferred
- Familiarity or experience with Tableau
- Technologically savvy; knowledge using the full range of contemporary remote office software (Microsoft, Google Workspace, etc.)

Flexible and a self-starter; able to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented

Salary: $55,000 - $69,000, based on experience plus competitive benefits package
