Climate Fund Managers B.V. is seeking a skilled Data Analyst/Business Applications Analyst to join the CFM team. The primary focus of the role will be to support CFMs' objective of automating manual reporting and data collection processes through use of PowerQuery, Python and other software applications. The role involves trouble shooting incidents and problems in a timely manner ensuring that users experience, and business continuity is maintained at all times. The candidate will analyse and manipulate data to ensure that errors are reduced, and clean data is maintained to enhance business process and decision making.
This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer, be based in our office in Claremont, Western Cape, South Africa and interfaces with all of CFMs' offices.

Responsibilities
Application design and implementation
- Ensure software applications (inhouse developed or third party) are designed, tested, implemented and maintained in a cost effective way that:
- Support users in identifying requirements for software applications and ensure they are designed, implemented and maintained in a cost effective way that:
- Automate workflow management in adherence with CFMs policies and process
- Automate manual data collection processes to ensure data collated is uploaded to the systems correctly
- Identify exception reports to limit manual review
- Ensure that the correct reports are in place for the business, to meet deadlines
- Application Support
- Provide user support for business applications, resolve user enquiries and issues
- Ensure that documentation, user’s manuals and business processes are updated to support business functions
- Test releases, updates and enhancements to existing applications
- Recommend improvements to business applications and processes
- Data Analysis
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data integrity and quality best practice
- Ensure compliance and consistency across core business applications
- Collation and manipulation of data from various sources prior to entry into business applications
- Identify patterns and trends that can be used for decision making
The role will involve interaction with various internal and external parties including:

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business analytics, data management, or similar
- Currently either a System Implementation Engineer or an experienced Application Support Analyst
- Very good working knowledge of the MS Office suite
- High proficiency in R + Python, Power Query, Power Bi
- Good data extraction, analysis, manipulation and report writing skills
- Experienced in the preparation of training documentation as well as specification preparation skills
- A passion for wanting to learn new things and to grow within the business
- Provide solutions that can be easily interpreted and acted upon by management and users
- Able to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders
