Customer Service Representative

One Tree Planted is a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on global reforestation. As an environmental charity, we are dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity, and help reforestation efforts around the world. All by planting trees!

POSITION PURPOSE:

A versatile position at a nonprofit that wants to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Together we can restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

One Tree Planted customer service team is dedicated to providing excellent support to our donors. Each representative strives to be friendly and helpful, and works to answer all inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise promptly. Our goal is to serve our donors efficiently and in their preferred manner of communication, creating a positive experience for every donor to build long-lasting relationships.

• Respond to all inquiries via email, live chat, and phone
• Create a positive experience for all donors, building their relationship with One Tree Planted
• Maintain a friendly and calm demeanour
• Troubleshoot issues with donors on the spot and promptly return solutions
• Diagnose the root cause of donor issues and strategize improvements
• Operate a variety of online platforms, and learn to use new ones quickly
• Take part in automation workflow building, maintenance, and execution
• Participate in group meetings
• Participate in work outside of day-to-day tasks

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• • EDUCATION: BACHELOR’S DEGREE

• RELATED EXPERIENCE: 3 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE PLUS RELATED FIELDS AND BE A SELF-STARTER. EXPERIENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL OR COMPUTER SCIENCES IS A PLUS.

    • Familiarity with  Clickup, Airtable, Google Drive, Slack, Zoom and basic HTML coding skills is are a plus

• IDEAL LOCATION: Montreal, QC, or the West Coast of North America

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

COMPENSATION: The typical starting range is $55 000 CAD which will be based on skills and experience. Annual performance increase may be available but not guaranteed.
