WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Kids in the Game is looking for a Creative Marketing Intern to join our Marketing and Development Team and immediately provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have a key role in developing and implementing marketing strategies -- no idea is too crazy! As a creative marketing intern, you will collaborate with our M&D team in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our Kids in the Game marketing channels. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain valuable experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment. Not to mention, you’ll be contributing to a supportive, safe, and fun environment for kids to grow and learn while experiencing non-stop fun!

This would be a 30-hour per week, in-person commitment with the possibility of working remotely one day per week. The internship would start between September 5th and 12th and last for 12 weeks (3 months).

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

At Kids in the Game, we strive to be the best part of every kid’s day! As a Creative Marketing Intern, you’ll be working to showcase our programs and partnerships and ultimately drive sales.

At the end of the day, you’ll be able to participate in company wide staff events where you can mingle with staff from all of our programs across the city, hang-out, and unwind! As a Creative Marketing Intern, you can expect to:

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
  • Perform market analysis and research on competition
  • Support the marketing team in daily tasks
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)
  • Prepare promotional presentations and email marketing campaigns
  • Help distribute marketing materials
  • Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • Help organize and support marketing events
  • Planning and adhering to editorial calendars to schedule blog posts on different social media platforms, website, and other marketing channels

WHAT WE’RE GOING TO LOVE ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate would meet some or all of the following qualifications:

  • A current college student or recent college graduate looking to gain valuable marketing experience in a rapidly growing startup environment
  • Previous marketing experience at a small-mid sized company (internship, volunteer, part time job)
  • Excellent email & interpersonal communication
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to multitask
  • Eye for design and understanding of our brand aesthetic is a plus
  • Experience with Asana, Hubspot, Mailchimp all a plus
