The Island School, a not-for-profit organization based in The Bahamas, was founded to create and support transformational educational experiences with the vision of leadership effecting change, on the island of Eleuthera. The diverse educational initiatives, including our High School Semester and Summer Term, Deep Creek Middle School, Elementary Learning Center, and our Community Engagement and Partnerships, deliver unique educational journeys in conjunction with the authentic and meaningful work our organization undertakes in research and sustainable development at the Cape Eleuthera Institute, our research, and innovation hub. We are reimagining what education is for, and redesigning how education is delivered.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Creative Content Associate will work as part of a team of people who are collectively responsible for telling The Island School story through a wide range of media strategies. The primary role of the Creative Associate is to capture digital content through photo and video, maintain an organized work flow that makes these files accessible on a timely basis, and process images and video into final products that will tell a visually compelling and engaging story. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in fulfilling video and photo projects, as well as experience collaborating with others and working independently.
As a member of the Communications Department, everyone plays a role in facilitating ongoing communications needs, maintaining project and task schedules, assisting in maintaining The Island School’s online presence, as well as delivering major media projects. The successful individual will be creative, able to work independently to meet clear deliverables and comfortable gathering content in a range of settings and scenarios.
