When evaluating your candidacy, we’ll look for the following:

  • You have held management and/or organisational leadership roles, particularly with responsibilities for things like project management, business development and sales
  • You have experience leading people and managing multi-stakeholder projects
  • You have experience working with the Rwandan government and/or civil society stakeholders
  • You have strong planning and execution skills
  • You have a track record of leading and inspiring others, particularly in an entrepreneurial context
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and can deal with the excitement/uncertainty that can bring
  • You have a demonstrated passion for education, closing equity gaps, and are strongly aligned with our vision, mission and values
  • You have demonstrated a commitment to anti-racism, equity, and inclusion

What does the role entail?

You will report directly to the Instill Education leadership team and be responsible for all operations and business/partnership development in Rwanda. You will be tasked with driving the top and bottom-line growth for the platform, which will involve shaping and executing the organisation’s overall strategy for Rwanda, leading key initiatives, building strong relationships and ensuring long-term growth and sustainability for our programmes. Specifically, you will:

  • Serve as Instill's main point of contact for in-country stakeholders, particularly government and programme delivery partners
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with leaders in local and national government, universities, and peer organisations
  • Work with executive leadership to develop and execute Instill’s vision, strategic objectives, and budget, all while taking an evidence-based, data-driven approach to setting goals and plans
  • Drive user acquisition and retention on our platform
  • Be Instill Education's ambassador in country, building our brand by attending events and networking functions (when possible!)
  • Build and manage a team of in-country reports
