The company
Tiko (previously known as Triggerise) believes in a world where all youth have the power to choose where, when, and how they meet their sexual reproductive health needs. Our digital platform delivers scalable and verifiable sexual reproductive health services for young people in 5 main markets in Sub Saharan Africa - Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, South Africa and Burkina Faso. We work together with local communities and use nudges like reminders, discounts, and reward points to encourage our users to access and use sexual and reproductive health services. We also support our users in becoming micro-entrepreneurs and adding value to their economies.
In Ethiopia to date, our platform has connected over 75,000 adolescent girls and young women aged 15-24 to contraceptives and other health services in Addis Ababa and Afar. Tiko has partnered with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and other donors to provide services to our users, based on results based financing (RBF). Our Ethiopian team consists of 20-25 employees and we have an office in Bole. You can learn more about what being part of Tiko is like here.
For this role, we are only looking for applicants based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The job
As the Country Director, you lead all aspects of country-level strategy and operations in Ethiopia. You collaborate with other internal teams and external stakeholders in order to optimise our impact.

You are a strategic leader with demonstrated expertise in scaling up operations and a thorough understanding of Ethiopia's financial landscape. You have an eye for new business opportunities and the networking capabilities to help Tiko grow.
Requirements
You bring a minimum of 5 years of senior management experience, with a focus on program and project management in the health sector, particularly in Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) targeting adolescents and young people.
You have experience managing a multidisciplinary operational team.
You have strong experience to foster partnerships and collaborations, alongside effective fundraising abilities and an established network of funders.
Proficient in budget management with experience handling budgets of at least 1 million USD.
You are fluent in written and spoken English and Amharic.
