Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) sits at the nexus of participatory mapping, community-led development, humanitarian response, open data and tech. With a talented and diverse team spread around the globe, HOT is an NGO which supports a dynamic global community of thousands of dedicated volunteers using maps and open data for humanitarian response and the Sustainable Development Goals. Working with humanitarian and development partners like the Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières, UN agencies, governments and others, the HOT community maps in solidarity with those affected by or at risk of disaster, contributing the maps and data aid workers need to do their lifesaving work.
About the Position:
The Corporate Engagement Manager will oversee HOT’s growing corporate partnerships program. The incumbent will be skilled and experienced in identifying, soliciting, and cultivating partnerships with organizations and their employees, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and demonstrate proactive leadership with an entrepreneurial mindset.
The incumbent will be responsible for growing HOT’s corporate partnerships which include virtual volunteering events, grants, and other pro bono support. They lead or support efforts that raise at least $1 million per year. They will oversee their own portfolio, soliciting, cultivating, and stewarding donors, and develop a pipeline of new corporate and foundation prospects. They will develop a standard and scalable protocol to work with HOT corporate partners including researching, engaging, and nurturing partnerships to yield opportunities as well as leading new programs and initiatives to scale and make the current virtual volunteering program more efficient.
The incumbent will be highly-organized, process-focused, and enthusiastic about working with program teams across HOT to assemble compelling volunteer events and opportunities. They will enjoy conveying the impact of open data and digital technology in humanitarian action and international development. This position requires innovative thinking and creativity to forge win-win partnerships.
Essential Functions:
Lead HOT’s corporate volunteering program:
Create, grow and scale innovative fundraising concepts, products and programs for corporate partners with a focus on sustainable revenue generation over multiple years.
Manage and sustain HOT’s Corporate Volunteering program, including scheduling and running mapathons and virtual events as well as conducting donor stewardship.
Research, identify, and track corporate partnership opportunities that align with HOT’s mission and work.
Develop and implement strategies to establish and strengthen new corporate partnerships, including with corporate foundations.
Remain up-to-date and informed on the latest trends and opportunities in the corporate volunteering and CSR sector to incorporate into HOT’s program.
Contribute to HOT’s overall fundraising efforts:
Support cultivation and stewardship activities for foundations and other donors as needed.
Manage systems and software to track and cultivate donors, customers and prospects, including our donor database.
Review, edit, and write proposals and documents to ensure clear, cohesive, and impactful narratives, requesting input from relevant teams as needed.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of HOT’s mission and programs, maintaining collaborative working relationships with all teams to craft messages for potential major donors and partnerships
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of corporate donor relations experience with a demonstrated track record of success building and maintaining successful corporate partnerships.
Understanding of corporate volunteering, CSR, and corporate partnership trends.
English-language fluency required.
Understanding of database management. Knowledge of NeonOne is a plus.
Advanced skills with word processing and presentation software (eg. Microsoft or G-Suite applications).
Qualifications:
Discretion with confidential matters and willingness to travel as needed.
Able to exercise a high level of organizational skill and initiative necessary to complete tasks with little supervision. Detail-oriented and well organized.

Knowledge of open mapping and geospatial data a plus.
