Social Solutions is currently bidding for the anticipated USAID “Philippines, Pacific Islands and Mongolia Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Activity (PIMMELA) activity.  This is a regional three-year $25 million-dollar regional contract (with the option to renew in year 4) based in Manila, Philippines.  The activity will work collaboratively with the USAID/Philippines mission and its implementing partners (IPS) to provide rigorous monitoring & evaluation support, capacity development, performance management, collaborative Learning and adaptation and will also support the Mission’s Office of Health.

Overview of the Position

The Chief of Party will be responsible for providing the vision and overall leadership to the team.  Provide day-to-day technical, administrative, training and overall support to ensure the objectives of the program components are implemented.  The COP will oversee the evaluation and assessment reports and the services produced and coordinate with USAID stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee management and technical operations to ensure that Activity tasks are completed, and objectives are fully met.
• Serves as the primary contact to USAID regarding day-to-day activity implementation and management of contract related matters.
• Provides leadership and direction to all project staff to ensure successful project implementation
• Manages the preparation and presentation of proposed implementation plans and all necessary reports.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience related to research, evaluation, statistic and/or monitoring projects related to development
• At least 5 years of experience leading a similar Monitoring and Evaluations contract covering multiple countries.
• Previous experience working in Asia preferred.
• Written and spoken English is required
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
