Contract Manager

🇺🇸 Minnesota, US 📝 FULL-TIME

Overview

The Contract Manager evaluates, negotiates, and develops contracts and agreements on behalf of Ampact. The Contract Manager also manages and aids in the acquisition process including preparation and evaluation of Request for Proposals, competitive bids, final vendor selection and bid awards. The Contract Manager is charged with ensuring all contracts and agreements abide by Ampact’s financial policies, OMB guidelines, as well as local and federal laws.

Responsibilities

  • Review, prepare or assist in the development of contracts and agreements

  • Manage, prepare Request for Proposals and Vendor Selection process

  • Negotiate contract terms with internal business partners and external contractors

  • Review and update existing contracts

  • Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties

  • Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts

  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms

  • Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal counsel

  • Ensure contracts comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations

  • Write contracts, correspondence, and communications

  • Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met

  • Maintain organized system of physical and digital records

  • Track and update agreements across business functions and groups, coordinating contract terms.

  • Develop and manage processes related to procurement and contract expenses

  • Create language standards for existing and new contracts

  • Coordinates contract approvals and signatures

Business Registrations, Reports and Filings

  • Complete and maintain any business registrations, reports and filings required to do business in any of the states or agencies with which Ampact is doing business

  • Coordinate with the legal counsel as needed

  • Ensure all deadlines and conditions are met

  • Maintain organized system of record

Insurance Requirements

  • Ensure all necessary liability insurance requirements are maintained and agreements renewed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience

Minimum Experience

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in contract administration or procurement

  • Experience creating and managing process, including RFP and Vendor Selection

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and mediation skills

  • Possesses superior attention to detail to spot inconsistencies in contracts

  • Has previous experience in customer service and effective communication skills

  • Able to work productively independently and as part of a team

  • Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities

  • Exhibit strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

  • Financial, technical, and legal language acumen
