DNV’s Markets & Transactions section is looking for a Quantitative Analyst specialized in power price forecasting for the French and European markets. DNV is undergoing a strong expansion in power price forecasting throughout Europe and is looking to reinforce its current team in France. The candidate will be integrated in a young and dynamic team that has a clear mandate to grow in terms of markets coverage and scope of work.
DNV’s power price forecasting activity is structured around a set of internal processes and tools that combine a fundamental approach (dispatch models) with statistical and artificial intelligence methods that aim to understand and replicate the market agents’ interaction with the different power and ancillary services markets.
The Consultant is expected to cover:
Market Intelligence: big data, data mining, energy markets analysis, weekly reporting.
Electricity Day-ahead Market Price Modelling:
Machine learning and optimization algorithms developments.
Markets trends study (expansion plan, commodities).
Scenario analysis (climate, electrical vehicle, distributed and self-consumption).
Medium- and long-term forecast.
