About We Lead

We Lead is a new, inspiring, innovative and powerful program that aims to improve the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRH-R) of young women. It focuses on four specific groups of young women: those living with HIV, those with disabilities, sexual minorities and those affected by displacement. The program puts these young women as rights holders in the driver's seat while supporting them to make sustainable changes for their SRH-R. The programme is implemented in nine countries in Africa, the Middle East and Central America: Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Niger, Mozambique, Lebanon, Jordan, Guatemala and Honduras. The We Lead consortium consists of six civil society organizations:  Positive Vibes,  Restless Development,  Marsa,  FEMNET, the CentralAmerican Women's and  Hivos Fund. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands is also part of the association. Hivos is the leader of the consortium and as such is responsible for the development of the processes of implementation. In each country, the We Lead program supports young women's groups and organizations to connect with each other in the local Communities of Action (CoA) as well as strengthen their capacity to be able to advocate, claim, protect and promote their SRH-Rs.

The Assignment

We Lead employs both qualitative and quantitative approaches to capture results from its partners. We Lead Program seeks to engage a consultant (s) to support with management of both qualitative and quantitative data from all partners across the nine countries. The assignment should be completed by 30th Sept 2023.

The consultant(s) is expected to deliver the following:

  1. Review the country and partner workplans to ascertain all results frameworks are mapped to the overarching results framework
  2. Consolidate country and partner data into the country specific results frameworks
  3. Consolidate the country data into the overarching results framework.
  4. Conduct Data quality assessment on sampled data

Applicant capacity and track-record

The applicant/ organization needs to have the following capacity requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing large volumes of quantitative data.
  • Proven experience with managing qualitative data especially from outcome harvesting approach
  • Proficiency in Ms Excel and other Management of Information systems.
  • Experience in conducting Data Quality assessments
  • Knowledge and experience of working on gender justice and women’s rights including integrating feminist principles in data and knowledge management
  • The consultant(s) is a risk taker and self-starter with a proven capacity of thinking out of the box to address issues in different, innovative ways.
  • The applicant/ organization must have a clean financial record.
