Short videos production for the FOLU Ethiopia Sustainable and Regenerative Agriculture Project
Organization Overview
Founded in 1982, The World Resources Institute (WRI) is a global environmental think tank that goes beyond research to put ideas into action. We work with governments, companies, and civil society to build solutions to urgent environmental challenges.
The Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU Ethiopia) works towards the vision to support Ethiopia in transitioning from subsistence to commercial farming and encourage the widespread adoption of sustainable and regenerative practices. Through its Action Coalition for Sustainable Agricultural Commercialization, consisting of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agricultural Transformation Institute, Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research, and Sasakawa Africa Association, the Food and Land Use Coalition, aims to advance an enabling policy and financing environment that makes agricultural value chains inclusive and sustainable, support nutrition-sensitive and regenerative agricultural production, and advance productive and resilient rural landscapes, so that Ethiopians can achieve better lives from agricultural commercialization.
Objective:
The FOLU office wants to produce 3-4 short videos from the perspective of the project which aims at screening the need for transitioning from subsistence to commercial farming through land-intensive agriculture models with the objective to make existing agriculture more productive and sustainable, thereby helping reduce pressure on soils, water, forests, and other natural resources.
The Videos are also intended to raise national attention and trigger local awareness and political discussion about the envisioned achievements to introduce sustainable and regenerative practices and technologies stepwise.
The short videos will be focusing on advocating approaches for commodities and value chains prioritized within Agricultural Commercialization Clusters (ACCs) and the developed model for the global and regional target audience.
