Purpose of the Position
A Business Development Consultant in CFTL will responsible to identify and pursue new funding opportunities to support the organization’s programs and initiatives. This role involves researching potential and resent donors, building relationships with key stakeholders, and developing proposals that align with the organization’s strategic goals and priorities. Additionally, the consultant may collaborate with Country Director for being responsible to manage existing donor relationships, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, and providing regular reports on the impact of their work. A key aspect of this role is staying up to date with the funding trends, best practices, and funding opportunities in the international development sector.
Scope of Work
1. Research & Analysis
Conducting market research to identify potential funding sources, partnership opportunities, and trends in the international development sector.

Selection Criteria for Consultant
At the minimum, the lead consultant must possess the following:
Required experience:
A. SKILLS & BEHAVIORS REQUIRED
1. Technical Skills
2. Behavioral Traits
Willingness to take proactive steps to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Ability to handle rejection and maintain motivation to learn.
Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with different department.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Adherence to ethical standards and transparency in dealings.
B. EDUCATION
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business studies, marketing, or international development. A master's degree or higher can be a plus.
C. EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in business development or related field for at least 5 years of relevant experience is expected.
D. KNOWLEDGE
Understanding of the international development sector, donor requirements, and business principles.
E. LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluency in English is required and proficiency in other languages can be a plus.
The Consultant must be available for distance (skype, zoom or MS Teams) and face-to-face meetings, as necessary, Qualified national candidates, women and persons living with disability are encouraged to apply.
