Community Manager, Bangalore

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

reach52 works closely with communities to coordinate, plan and execute health related campaigns with the aim of promoting a healthier lifestyle. The Community Manager is also responsible for building strong relationship with government stakeholders, training ASHA workers and Agents on how to use our mobile app and teaching them about best practices in healthcare. These include content such as nutrition, the importance of vaccination for infectious diseases like dengue and COVID, as well as maternal and child health. We also want to launch a wholesale distribution business to bring affordable consumer health products into the community. through kirana stores and pharmacies. The Community Manager will support this initiative.

The successful candidate will be a hardworking, entrepreneurial self-starter, who is detail oriented and impact outcomes focused. He/she will also be required to work closely with internal teams, to provide timely feedback on progress of our campaigns against targets, user interface related issues, follow up on bug fixes and propose changes to improve our technology platforms. Hence, strong communication skills and fluency in Kannada is essential.

A strong knowledge of healthcare, project management, as well as sales and marketing experience would be advantageous.

ROLE SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The core role scope and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead community engagement and outreach, including Agent recruitment in all our sites within Karnataka

  • Work with reach52 partners (government, public health officials, NGOs etc) to build strong working relationships, obtain necessary permissions and licenses to run activities in the community

  • Partner with HQ to plan and execute campaigns according to timelines, budgets, business strategy and impact KPIs

  • Work with engineers to share technology changes needed and provide business guidance

  • Manage and deliver user training to the Agents as well as store owners for our app and technology platform

  • Help design solutions based on community needs leveraging on your knowledge of local customs, preferences and norms to achieve project outcomes

  • Identify and build relationships with distributor/wholesalers to support product access campaigns and relevant initiatives

  • Monitor and manage Agents performance and ensure monthly targets are achieved consistently

  • Conduct rigorous analysis of data and results

  • Work with management team on other strategic projects as the need arises

  • Brief internal stakeholders and work collaboratively with other teams

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare, project delivery, sales, consultancy and/or training;

  • Fluent in Kannada

  • Independent self starter

  • Knowledge of healthcare, public health and/or healthcare technology platforms;

  • Commercial experience or past work experience in FMCG or Consumer Health would be a plus

  • Ability to think outside the box in a very innovative way;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Attention to detail, working to deadlines and project management;

  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites

  • Willingness to learn new skills and work hard to get implementations complete in a challenging-but-rewarding environment;

  • Ability to work with developers and translate launch site and other user needs into technology features that can be developed.
