COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER, LONDON
The Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) is looking for a communications manager to support our work over the coming months. This an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver the communications strategy of an influential initiative working at the forefront of sustainable finance. This post based in E3G’s London office.
Background
E3G is an independent climate change think tank with a global outlook. We are world leading strategists on the political economy of climate change, dedicated to achieving a safe climate for all. We work on the frontier of the climate landscape tackling the barriers and advancing the solutions to a safe climate. Our goal is to translate climate politics, economics and policies into action.
The TPT was launched by HM Treasury in April 2022 to develop a gold standard for private sector climate transition plans. More information on the TPT can be found at www.transitiontaskforce.net. E3G co-hosts the Secretariat to the TPT alongside the UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment (CGFI).
The Communications Manager role within the TPT Secretariat team will develop and deliver the TPT’s communications, marketing and events strategy to achieve desired stakeholder impact.

Person Description
You will be able to manage a number of discrete projects simultaneously and balance competing deadlines. You are an intellectually curious and highly organised self-starter with a strong interest in (and preferably some prior experience of) the opportunities and challenges around climate change. You are a creative thinker, able to learn fast and to work flexibly with a range of people. You are prepared to go the extra mile to deliver high quality outputs to challenging deadlines. You are confident engaging with large numbers of stakeholders and ensuring high quality outcomes.

The opportunity is initially available on a fixed-term contractor basis until the end of 2024, with options for full or part-time engagements.
This role is anticipated to be based in London including at E3G’s office in Southwark, requests for flexible working in the UK will be considered.
