You will support all internal and external communications. This includes working to support all departments in producing relevant media productions,
including IEC materials and other marketing materials aimed to generate ChildFund’s profile. The Communications Intern will also support donor and
supporter visits.
KEY DUTIES

- Work closely with the Communications & Advocacy Coordinator in documenting and supporting the production of media relating to fundraising mechanisms (Global Community, Gifts for Good, and other miscellaneous opportunities).
- Participate in external workshops, working groups, and other meetings relevant to the position.
- Establish appropriate information-sharing relationships with staff in similar positions within other INGOs and NPAs in the Lao PD

- Support the Communications & Advocacy Coordinator in undertaking donor relations (primarily individual support, philanthropic supporters, and corporate partners).

- Prepare monthly and other progress reports to the Communications and Advocacy Coordinator as agreed.
- Support in documentation, Proofreading, and Editing of relevant documents and files
- Support in capacity building for staff on related communication activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- University education in development studies, media, communications or a relevant field
- University qualification in communications, development or other relevant fields.
- At least 1 year of experience working on development projects in a communications capacity.
- Strong technology skills, including the use of video and still cameras and editing software, as well as familiarity with social media use, including Facebook and Twitter. Creative Suite and Adobe experience is essential, and Apple experience is preferred.
- Experience in engaging with children and youth in community development and communications activit
- Good English communication and coordination skills.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with design software such as Adobe illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles.
- Knowledge of Lao.
- Demonstrated understanding of rights-based approaches to development

Employment: Full-time, Initial three-month employment agreement, with option to extend upon mutual agreement
