About the Role
The Communications Intern will be responsible for AP Hub’s communication products and engagement including social media handling as well as other communication media and platforms.
Activities
- Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading content for various platforms such as websites, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
- Assist in managing and updating social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube).
- Support the creation of engaging posts, monitor social media channels, and respond to comments and messages.
- Support the analysis of social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Assist in creating and editing visual content such as graphics, videos, and presentations.
- Support the development of multimedia content for various communication channels.
- Ensure that all communication materials are consistent with the organization’s brand guidelines and messaging.
- Assist in maintaining the organization’s brand image across all platforms.
- Maintain and organize communication files and databases.
- Other duties as assigned by Regional Director and/or Senior Program Manager
Qualifications and experience
Essential
- Proven experience in creative design particularly in the context of creating posters, collaterals and multimedia assets;
- Experience using Canva and other relevant communication tools;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proactive, attention to details, social media savvy
Desirable
- Knowledgeable in video editing;
- Knowledgeable in copywriting;
- Familiarity with open-source mapping tools and platforms;
- Fluency in English - both written and spoken
