Role: Communications Intern
Reports to: Senior Communications Specialist at LAC (Supervisor)
Schedule: Part-time, Mon-Thurs.
Location: Remote (Preferred within Mexico, but open to Latin America)
About the Role
The Communications Intern for the Latin America Hub will assist the Senior Communications Specialist in various aspects of internal and external communications.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications and public relations. The Communications intern will be work closely with the Senior Communications Specialist to support content development for the Latin America and the Caribbean Hub across various social media platforms amongst other learning opportunities.
The Intern will support in the following areas:
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices
Basic understanding of graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Creativity and willingness to learn
Duration
This is an internship for a period for an initial period of 3-months, with the possibility of extension for exceptional performers.
