Position Overview:

Advancement Project is seeking a skilled Communications Associate to support and implement a comprehensive communications strategy across our three programs; Opportunity to Learn, Justice Project, and Power and Democracy. The Communications Associate will work to shift narratives around education, policing and criminalization, and voting. In this role, they will develop communications material for print and digital media, social media and other related content. The Communications Associate will also collaborate with internal stakeholders and organizational partners on communications strategy for national, state, and local campaigns and initiatives. We are looking for a strong writer with a solid background in communications strategy.
This position will reside in the Communications team and reports to the Managing Director of Communications. This position can be remote with the potential to be considered for permanent employment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities:
Contribute to the development of strategic communications
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and organizational partners on communications for national, state, and local campaigns and initiatives.

With 2 years of relevant experience, this position pays a minimum of $ 57,055.52 annually, per our compensation structure
