The Communications and Digital Engagement Coordinator is a position that oversees the communication function of Greenpeace - Bulgaria, its channels, and is also responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing effective and integrated digital engagement and media strategies.
Tasks and duties:
Ensure the coordination and implementation of integrated communications and digital engagement work of the Bulgarian office.
Continue to raise the profile of Greenpeace - Bulgaria as a credible and attractive environmental NGO.
Coordinate the daily communications and digital engagement output of Greenpeace - Bulgaria following prior endorsement from the OD and the responsible campaigners when necessary.
Stay abreast of social, cultural, media trends internationally and domestically.
Develop relationships with media actors including press, news agencies, broadcasters, PR professionals and Internet sites. Ensure regular networking with such contacts and ensure management of the media list.
Work closely with the OD, campaigners, the communications and digital engagement team and the offline mobilization team on a daily basis to evaluate priorities for media relations activities, including proactive communications.
Provide management to the communications and digital engagement team.
Prepare communications materials, text and visual materials (photos, videos, logos and reports) for media stories, web and public outreach.
Regularly evaluate the quantity and quality of media coverage with a view to improving Greenpeace Bulgariaās impact in the media and help us achieve our objectives
Experience and skills needed:
Fluent in Bulgarian and English
University degree, preferably with communications profile
High level of autonomy and self-management
Excellent strategic skills
Critical and analytical thinking
Effectiveness and efficiency
Excellent rhetoric and communicative skills
Confident personal appearance
Flexibility (also with regard to time and geographic scope)
Management skills
At least 5 years of professional experience in communications role
Identification with Greenpeace goals and supportive of Greenpeace values
What we offer:
Full- time temporary employment contract (1 year maternity leave replacement) with a trial period under a labor contract
Gross salary: within the range of 2.390 to 3.120 BGN, depending on previous experience
