We're an international team working on accelerating the adoption of the circular economy, to ensure all people can thrive on a healthy planet, and we’re scaling up. We combine data, digital tools and knowledge to support businesses, cities & nations in their journey to become more sustainable, through the circular economy.
We use communications to translate complex ideas into engaging stories that support the company’s mission. Communication specialists here play a direct role in both spreading awareness on the issues we tackle and increasing the impact we have around the world. They also contribute to researching our audiences and strengthening our brand.
As our third communications specialist, you will report to the Head of Design & Brand, and collaborate with Programme leads as well as the Design team, to achieve the following:
Manage:
Interpreting briefs for client projects as well as our programmes’ strategies, and coming up with relevant and simple comms plans
Content creation for our channels, such as press releases, social media posts, infographics, and news stories, to showcase our impact and position the organization as a thought leader, and advocate for a circular economy
Liaison with media and handle requests for interviews, statements, etc. as well as with contractors, such as PR agencies and event organizers
Basic testing and analytics to understand the effectiveness of our communications, and to propose data-driven recommendations for our campaigns
Support with:
Managing digital channels, such as website and social media
Planning and organising events occasionally
Supporting the CEO and other colleagues in their media and public engagements
Supporting the creation and execution of global outreach strategies

Who you are
You’ve spent at least 3 years being sort of amazing as a communications or marketing specialist or writer in non-profit organizations, companies, agencies, or freelancing. You are an expert in story-telling for digital platforms, and you are eager to understand the audiences you communicate with. You are near-native or native of the English language.
Some qualities we need to see in you:
Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in communications, public relations, journalism marketing or sustainability-related field Full professional proficiency in English
Minimum of 3 years experience in communications, journalism or marketing
Solid experience in writing press release and news stories and developing content for digital platforms
Good at taking initiatives and can work independently with minimal supervisions
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box to bring new solutions
Great if you have experience or an interest in these, and ok if you don’t:
Experience in non-profit organisation, especially in the field of sustainable development Experience in event planning and management
Excellent command of Dutch
What you’ll get
You can choose between a full-time role of 40h per week or a part-time role of 32h per week. We offer a good challenge for a passionate communications specialist and a competitive salary, keeping in mind we’re a social enterprise. You’ll need an EU work authorisation to get this job.
