Communication and Administration Trainee
Kopila Valley Sewa Samaj (KVSS)
Kopila Valley Sewa Samaj is a local non-government organization, envisions “a nation where children are educated, safe, and loved.” based in Surkhet, Birendranagar, office in Nepal, we oversee programs in rural Nepal including a school, a children’s home, and a women’s training center, and programs such as sustainability, future support to the children, and safe home for adolescent girls. Our mission is to change the world by empowering Nepal’s children.
Role Overview
This role plays a crucial role in supporting communication, which is essential to our mission, as it forms the foundation of both our communication strategies ad IT infrastructure. This role involves assisting with various communication initiatives, enhancing administrative processes, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization. The trainee will work closely with the communication team and administrative staff to ensure effective communication with stakeholders, efficient management of resources, and a conducive work environment.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and hands-on experience in the field of communication and administration within a dynamic nonprofit organization committed to serving the community.
Core Responsibilities
Detailed Areas of Responsibilities
The Communications and Administration Trainee will be mainly responsible for overseeing the following areas of responsibility:
General understanding and knowledge of handling corporate communications, IT support tasks, or both.
Eagerness to learn and manage digital media, including collecting and securing approvals for photos and information.
Familiarity with office productivity software and systems.2. Visual Media Coordinator, Content Curator and Lab-based Admin roles
Learn and initiate the process of capturing high-quality photos and videos of all events taking place at KVSS as per the organizational policy.
Maintain these visuals in our designated digital drive for easy accessibility and archival purposes.
Keep a tab on all digital equipment to ensure their proper functioning and availability.
Travel to market often to ensure the availability of IT related resources and materials in Computer lab at all the times.
Assist in writing success stories, human interest stories and in documenting for websites and publications.

Requirements
Education:+2, PCL or any other relevant degree equivalent to +2 level is mandatory. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications, Information Technology, Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience: Preferred experience of one year, especially in the communication field in a
non- profit organization is an added advantage. Fresher with an aptitude for working in development sectors are highly encouraged to apply.
Language: Fluent in English and Nepali would be an added advantage. Excellent writing skills with experience in drafting emails and corporate communications.
Other Qualifications: Team player, good presentation skill, initiator, ability to use computer tools, and passionate about working with children and vulnerable populations.
