Commercial Project Coordinator (Calgary) – Permanent, Full Time
SkyFire Energy is looking for a Commercial Project Coordinator to become part of our commercial projects team in (Calgary, AB). This individual will be self-motivated, energetic, personable, and excited to work as part of a fast-growing company in the solar industry.
Primary Duties include:
- Preparing and submitting microgeneration and distribution generation applications
- Obtain electrical, building and development permits as required
- Material Procurement
- Inventory management of products and equipment
- Vendor document management
- Collaborating with PM on various project deliverables
- Collaborating with PM on budget and cost control
- Reviewing and organizing turnover from suppliers
- Reviewing and verifying QA/QC documentation from the field
Education and Experience requirements:
- Knowledge of the construction and or solar industry
- 2+ years experience as a project coordination
- Preference will be given to candidates with an electrical background
Competencies:
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Document management
- Proficient at working in Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel
- Experienced at reading construction drawings
- Electrical construction project experience an asset
- Organized and able to prioritize competing tasks
- Comfortable communicating and taking meeting minutes in client/contractor meetings
- Occasional scheduled travel to sites outside of Calgary area
- Procurement experience is an asset
Considered Assets:
- Previous experience in the solar industry
- Previous experience in the electrical industry
- Ability to use Sketchup/AutoCAD
