Local Unit & Position Description
CMC Service Line in the Area Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and Baltic states is organized in two sections. Within Section South-West we are dealing with all maritime services in the South Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary.
Our team consists of 13 surveyors and is delivering maritime services and further non-class inspections in the mentioned above area.
For our operation we are looking for a qualified surveyor who will be located in Katowice but business travels or short assignment in other places must be expected.
Position Qualifications
Key responsibilities:
- Certification and verification of materials and components intended for ships and offshore units.
- Survey of equipment at manufacturers and local clients under class and non-class related systems and processes.
- Following up periodical surveys and assessments at customer sites and providing local support both on site and remotely.
- Managing our clients together with other relevant parts of our organization and technical responsibility for individual selected customers, as well as sales supporting activities together with the DNV line management.
- Project-orientated work - cooperation in interdisciplinary verification projects
- The work is carried out within our area and travel must be expected.
- Possibility to get a company car after 6 months.
Position Qualifications:
- We are looking for a surveyor with master/bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- The candidate needs preferably to cover several fields of competence and the following education background is applicable: technical education within materials, mechanical, welding (IWE/IWI), Non-Destructive Test (NDT) and quality control experience form overhaul workshop.
- Interest and willingness to build competence within the above-mentioned disciplines.
- Fluent Polish language skills is a must.
- Good command of English language required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Expected 3-5 years of experience from the industry. Experience from shipbuilding or the offshore and maritime industry will be an advantage.
- Ability to work flexibly, independently, result oriented, self-organized and effectiveness.
