Systemic Justice is looking for an Student Assistant to support our project Building BIPOC Power for Climate Justice.
Position type: Part-time (8 hours per week, increasing to 16 hours from 1 March to 31 April)
Duration: January 8 – 30 May 2024
Remuneration: EUR 18 per hour
Location: Remote (CET time zone +/- two hours)

Systemic Justice is launching a coalition of Black, indigenous and people of colour-led grassroots organisations to help ensure that Europe’s response to the climate crisis properly addresses its intersectional harms, and to build a shared vision of true climate justice.
The project aims to build the power of Black, indigenous, and people of colour-led organisations working on the intersection of climate and racial, social, and economic justice, while simultaneously cultivating intergenerational equity and solidarity within the climate space.
By amplifying these collective voices, we will help ensure that Europe’s attempt at addressing the climate crisis is targeting the many harms that BIPOC communities across the region face and prioritises all generations in decision-making.
About the role
In support of the project's objectives, the Climate Justice Student Assistant will assist our Climate Justice Organiser to effectively coordinate the following areas of work:

Project management support
Project management experience;
Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and problem-solving;
Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritise and manage tasks across multiple tracks of work;
Excellent verbal and written communication;
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks;
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 products.
