Our Climate Finance Program is seeking talented and skilled individuals to support teams in developing high-quality and actionable research and policy analysis. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with a world-recognized team on cutting edge analytical projects that support policy frameworks and investments to drive the transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient world. Some of our most well-known projects include the  Global Landscape of Climate Finance, which is the most comprehensive inventory of global climate change investment available and the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance whose financial instruments have attracted billions of dollars to drive low-carbon and climate-resilient growth in developing countries. Other work also includes The Net Zero Finance Tracker (NZFT) provides a comprehensive assessment of how finance institutions are progressing on Paris Agreement goals and delivering net zero impact on the ground.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are pursuing, or have recently completed, a degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, economics, finance, public policy).
  • You have a structured and systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • You possess a solution-oriented attitude, striving to find innovative and effective ways to address challenges.
  • You have a working knowledge of issues in domestic and international climate policy.
  • You have a passion for analysis and methods, utilizing rigorous approaches to gather insights and inform decisions.
  • You have a precise, detail-oriented approach to research and data analysis.
  • You have excellent writing skills and the ability to assist in producing and editing high-quality products.
  • You are a proficient user of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel, and able to grasp new software quickly.
  • You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English.
  • You are adaptable and professional at all times, with enthusiasm for working as part of a team and an ability to interact with a diverse array of people.

Please note:

  • We are looking to take on 1-2 interns.
  • Remuneration: £13.15 per hour.
  • We favour applicants who are available for at least three months though we offer some flexibility both in length and start dates.
  • Only short-listed applicants will be contacted.
  • Applicants must be willing to attend the office twice a week.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work and already located in the UK– we are unable to offer any visa sponsorship for this role due to the short term nature.
