The Climate Disinformation Coalition brings together environmental and intersectional progressive organizations to reduce the spread of climate disinformation on tech platforms that is preventing climate action. We work to hold companies accountable and ensure that a small number of loud voices do not get to dominate the debate over climate change. This new position will help coordinate coalition activities that will cover corporate campaigns, domestic and international policy initiatives, research and public communications. The position will report to the coalition’s leadership team.
What We Look For: A creative and detail-oriented coordinator to help our coalition stop the spread of climate change disinformation on social media. Someone who has strong writing skills and can help coordinate coalition activities. Are you a strategic thinker who is well-organized and works well under tight deadlines?
If so, this is the position for you. We want you to succeed and pay a competitive wage that is in line with your experience. The salary range for this full-time remote role is $61,000-$66,000.Offers are determined based on relevant skills and experience required for the position.
What the Role Needs:
Dynamic Campaigner: Play a valuable role supporting the overall campaign, with a focus on corporate campaign strategy, policy development, communications and research assistance.
Relationship Builder: Cultivate coalition members and assist with amplifying their campaign work. Host a monthly coalition call, weekly leadership calls and participate in our active slack channel with 100+ members.
Project Coordinator: Track and lead project management with the guidance of the Director for multiple team initiatives that range from research to policy to corporate campaigns.
