Exponent Partners is seeking an experienced Client Engagement Manager to provide a consistent strategic partner for our clients through an in-depth understanding of their mission, goals, and business strategy. This position at Exponent Partners will provide you with the opportunity to support core business functions that are critical to the success of our company. What Qualifications We Need:
- Background & Experience
- BS or BA degree (MBA a plus) or equivalent applicable experience
- Required minimum 3 years of either (a) consulting experience in a billable environment or (b) leadership role within a nonprofit organization
- Minimum 2 years experience working with technology in the Salesforce.com ecosystem or 2 years experience supporting data, analysis, research or technology teams
- Demonstrated non-profit domain experience (preferred nonprofit domains include: Human Services, Case Management, Philanthropy, Fundraising, and/or Education)
- Strategic Partnership Expertise
- Past success in quickly establishing expertise and developing rapport as a trusted advisor to C-suite for leveraging information systems and technology to achieve mission success
- Ability to grasp complex business models and generate insights for leveraging technology to achieve strategic objectives
- Consultative Skills
- Ability to build clarity and manage stakeholder expectations, gain client confidence and build consensus with internal and external teams
- Proven presentation, meeting facilitation, documentation and relationship building skills
- Strong written/verbal communication and client-facing skills with a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate about technical issues with non-technical resources
- Highly organized, responsible, and attentive to scopes of work with the ability to successfully manage to and meet timelines and project details
- Experience working with diverse teams
- Passion for technology, learning and sharing knowledge
- Confidently able to work independently with little guidance required while maintain the ability to collaborate in a fully distributed environment
- Flexible and able to work in a fast-changing, demanding environment
What You Will Be Doing:
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Maintain a strategic understanding of your clients’ mission, goals and overall Information System needs Work directly with C-Suite and organization leadership to identify high level roadmap for leveraging IS systems, technology, and digital transformations to achieve their mission critical objectives
- Maintain regular connection with clients and clearly communicate business value and ROI of achievements driven by our partnership by connecting the dots between
- Collaborate with Market Director to develop and maintain client engagement plans tailored to support each client’s mission and key success metrics
- Ensure that our internal teams understand how active work or projects fits into the client’s overall strategy
Client Lifecycle Engagement Management
- Engage in quarterly check in calls with client
- Maintain and update client strategy, needs, and goals documentation
- Ensure solutions offered during any current engagement promote overall client lifecycle goals
- Manage any client escalations and facilitate successful resolution
- Identify lifecycle work and next steps for the client engagement after current work
- Lead conversations with client regarding change orders or growth opportunities and how changes fit into their immediate and strategic goals
- Identify collaboration opportunities for clients such as co-presenting, writing white papers, or authoring blog posts to share experiences and industry best practices for leveraging technology in mission based organizations
- Met identified KPIs for capturing and driving sales opportunities for future work for clients that you support
Project Oversight
- Setting a vision of success for internal and external client teams during active engagements, encourage collaboration, and lead by example to achieve project goals and strengthen client relationships
- Lead team forming activities & create team charter
- Managing to KPIs for active engagements
- Lead Executive Steering Council (ESC) meetings
- Facilitate decision making conversations & drive consensus; mediate or escalate as needed
- Leverage internal risk processes and communication, including budget and timeline issues, and escalate as appropriate
- Attend weekly client standups
- Oversee discovery to scope
- Coordinate collaboration/handoff with Client Success, as appropriate
- Request client feedback/survey participation
